Summary
Currently, I am a Beatriz Galindo Fellow at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Seville (Seville, Spain).
My research interests are in galaxy formation and evolution, large-scale structure and cosmology. I specialise in using a computational approach to improve our understanding of different problems in these areas by improving models that can be compared wiht current available astrophysical datasets and provide testable predictions for future observations.
I did my PhD at the Grupo de Astrofísica in the Departamento Física Teórica (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid). Before coming to Seville, I was a Fulbright Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California Irvine (United States), a Max-Planck Postdoctoral Fellow at the Max-Planck-Institut für Astronomie in Heidelberg (Germany) and a Research Associate at the Institute for Astronomy of the University of Edinburgh.
Interested in doing research in astrophysics? I am eager to work with students and postdocs, either as visitors up to several months or longer-term positions. Have a look at these research opportunities to do research at the University of Seville. You can also check more details about my research interests here but I am happy to discuss different ideas and projects.
