Interested in astrophysics?
Undergraduate and Master’s students in Physics or Mathematics with research initiative and a genuine interest in astrophysics are encouraged to contact me to discuss their own ideas for possible projects. Students in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences with research interests at the interface with Science are also most welcome.
For students currently enrolled at the University of Seville, the following opportunities are available as an integral part of their degree programmes:
- Intern student. Part time collaboration with the department (application usually October-November).
- Final degree project ("Trabajo fin de Grado"). Please contact me well in advance the usual deadline (November) if you are interested.
- Master Project. Contact me to discuss possible ideas and projects.
Some funding support opportunities to carry on these type of projects at the University of Seville are:

- Undergrad Collaboration Fellowships from the Spanish government to do an 8 months part time collaboration with a University Department. For undergrad students that have passed already more than 75% of the full degree and first year Master students. EU citizens. Information link in Spanish. Contact me if you need more information.
- Research Initiation Program from the University of Seville. Part time collaboration to perform a research project. Undergrads in their last year and Master students doing their studies at the University of Seville. (application ~November)
Summer Research Projects and Short Research Visits at the University of Seville
The typical project duration is 6-12 weeks, depending on the funding source. All schemes require the student to assume a leading role in preparing the application, in collaboration with the supervisor.
